E-commerce is the ability to transact in real-time, over the Internet.

This ability can serve several purposes and happen in several ways;

you can secure payment for products on your Web site, before facilitating the order
you can integrate a sales database with your Web site, so that delivery of orders is automatically requested, once the
payment has been automatically received
you could access a secure Web page anywhere in the world and use it to process your customers credit card details, rather than using an EFTPOS terminal
you can email batch files of credit cards numbers and amounts to a bank for online processing.

How does online e-commerce payment processing make you money?

As more and more companies embrace e-commerce, you will begin to see more and more companies integrating each others' product and service offerings into their Web sites.

You see this happening with companies like Amazon. They'll partner with companies that can seamlessly provide additional offers to Amazon's visitors.

Seamless integration is the key. If your business is automated from online payment processing to order fulfillment, then any concerns a potential partner may have over your quality assurances are significantly reduced. These are the qualities Amazon would expect and they are qualities that win business.

TheMerchant can start your business on this track. Once your business has a Web site enabled with e-commerce payment processing, you can begin to present your business to other online businesses as a credible partner for revenue sharing relations

How does online e-commerce payment processing save you money?

Automating the processing of payments online offers the sort of significant cost saving you discovered when you used email to send your first document.
Imagine how much you can save with the following efficiencies:
If you are selling products on your Web site using TheMerchant, you can be sure you have already acquired payment before you fulfil delivery. No need to contact the client before shipping the product and no need to wait for payment to be received
No need to punch credit card numbers into an EFTPOS machine and handle any rejections or refunds after human error
No need to have an EFTPOS terminal any more. Use TheMerchant instead
Typically the bank will give you a 0.2% discount to your current merchant fee for processing credit cards, if you use the Internet to acquire that transaction.

Why choose TheMerchant for your e-commerce payment processing?

Quite simply, TheMerchant is far less expensive than the competitor e-commerce services, easier to install and equally secure.

In fact we encourage you to visit the other two large e-commerce service providers Telstra Surelink and South Australia University’s Camtech.
